I'm sure you know that Steve Ballmer recently completed a tour of the region, and I attended his talk in Kyiv. It wasn't what he said so much as the fact he was here at all, that indicates how concerned they are about this part of the world. The iPhone and Mac Air are garnering a lot of attention for Apple, even though the iPhone isn't officially available here. On top of that, Microsoft has ruffled quite a few feathers of business customers in its effort to reign in piracy of its software. It doesn't have much of a presence among consumers in the mobile space, and now it must compete with Blackberry. I'm working on a post now about this on my blog: http://ukraine-mcq.blogspot.com/.
